History

East Bay Affiliates in Dermatology is the most established dermatology practice in the San Francisco East Bay.

The practice’s history is summarized in the following timeline:

– Founded in Oakland in the early 1900s by Dr. Templeton
– Continued by Dr. Lunsford, then augmented by Drs. Herman Allington and Ray Allington, who opened a second office in Alameda
– During his time with the practice, Dr. Herman Allington introduced liquid nitrogen as a treatment for selected skin problems
– Dr. Ray Allington brought Mohs micrographic surgery to the East Bay after working with Dr. Frederick Mohs at the University of Wisconsin
– The practice was carried into the 21st century by Drs. David Paslin, Leslie Hilger, and Richard Graham, with the assistance of Dr. William Littman
